Jon is completely self-taught and first started learning sleight of hand during medical school, where he first started working at student functions.  He later worked for 6 months as a resident magician at Pure, the largest nightclub in Manchester, where he worked with some of the top up-and-coming local magicians in Manchester.  He now works a freelance magician, working at private, corporate and charity events across the UK.

Jon has also offered private tuition to a select number of students, who have later gone on to achieve considerable successes, including appearances on national BBC television.
